Empowering Learning* is all about making a real difference in the lives of young people who struggle with literacy and numeracy.  Simply put, this approach takes a fresh look at learning and can be applied across the whole spectrum of learning difficulties from the simple to the more complex – from just having a basic dislike of reading or maths right through to those young people having to manage challenges at the other end of the scale.  These maybe, for example, from disorders such as:

 Dyslexia – Dyspraxia – ADHD – Dyscalculia – Asperger’s – Tourette’s– (mild) Autism

These tools and techniques can be used to help with any educational subject, in any learning situation and utilised throughout your child or teenagers educational journey.  It can help maximise the learning experience as well as overall performance and may well, in some cases, reduce the need for existing ongoing learning support.

Empowering Learning helps young people to learn how to learn by tapping into their ability for mental imagery and there are 7 key areas where these skills can be applied: Concentration, Reading, Writing, Numeracy, Spelling, Memory & Sequencing and Telling the Time.  It is very structured and right from the start, students will learn how to access the right emotional state in order to be ready, calm and relaxed so they can avoid any and all barriers to learning.

This programme lends itself perfectly to a ‘Family Learning’ style.  Parent and child can work and learn together which ensures that there is a firm commitment to the required practice of ONLY 10 MINUTES A DAY.  Parents, you too will feel empowered by helping them to learn these new tools and techniques and by being actively involved in their ongoing learning.

The Empowering Learning approach is so unlike any other for the following reasons:

  • Builds on strengths (distracts focus from weaknesses)
  • Separates skill of learning from the skill of teaching
  • Taps into ability for mental imagery
  • Emphasis on ‘learning to learn’ rather than teaching a specific subject
  • Overcomes stress, a barrier to learning
  • Provides access to simple skills especially for those with challenges relating to concentration, memory, literacy, numeracy, and clarity of thought
  • Emphasis on ‘learning how to learn’ rather than teaching to learn a specific subject
  • Person centred approach

We are 100% convinced that you will be amazed at the results that can be achieved so CONTACT US NOW and find out more.
